Meh...Russell's a good player and all, but honestly I'm tired of watching him go on and on about himself and how on top of the game he is. Whether he makes it past TC next week I'm not concerned about; it'll just be a nice change of pace to see Russell not talk about how stupid everyone else is and how he is the master-manipulator.
As far as blindsides go, they are part of the game, but they're overdone, and overpraised. I think last season speaks for itself in terms of the number of times someone was overconfident and then got the boot, with Jeff concluding TC with "nice work on that blindside". It gets boring and predictable after the millionth time. I'd much rather see a vote where no one really knows how it's going to go and it's suspenseful right down to the final vote Jeff reads. But that's just me.
