From EW Jeff Probst interview on Gabon. I didn't know they had actual guards in the survivor Africa camps ( remember their little thorn circle camps ) in case some lions or such attempted to get in. Can you imagine sitting in your shelter, hearing lions roar, then some shouting followed by gun shots and seeing a dead lion 5 feet outside the opening to your shelter.
NOW thats the real survivor experience!
