Maybe but lets play devils advocate--if people on survivor all bond why does it appear they only bonded with members of their own tribe? If half the tribe made the merge and spent half the game with them why not any names on their myspaces?

Here a Corrine interview that came out the day the cast did--it tells you how well her tribe did I think.

Two New Yorkers named to new 'Survivor' cast

Corinne Kaplan held back nothing when discussing her fellow contestants on the new edition of CBS' "Survivor: Gabon - Earth's Last Eden."

Nothing.

"It was the best and worst experience ever," Kaplan, 29, told the Daily News on a day when CBS revealed the cast for the coming season.

"It was the best experience because I've always wanted a camera crew to follow me," said Kaplan."The worst part is you're surrounded by a bunch of people you'd never hang out with in your life. A bunch of old people, a bunch of dorks. You're hanging out with a bunch of losers"

Alrighty, then.

Among the folks she talked about are an actress from Brooklyn and a Manhattan lawyer. And all of them will be trying to outwit, outlast and outplay each other this fall.

Jessica (Sugar) Kiper, the 29-year-old actress from Brooklyn (she's been in "Gilmore Girls," "Angel" and "Undressed," to name a few), said she fibbed to rivals to gain an edge.

"I'm an actress, but I'm telling everyone I'm a pinup," Kiper said in a video clip from CBS. "I don't want them to know I'm an actress because they'll think I'm a liar."

The New York lawyer is Charlie Hershel, 29, who's with a big-name firm and went to an Ivy league school.

CBS revealed the 18 contestants for the new season Wednesday. The 17th cycle of the hit unscripted program was shot over two months in Africa. A two-hour season premiere is set for Sept. 25 at 8 p.m.

"In a strange coincidence to 'Earth's Last Eden' - good vs. evil emerges as a major theme," host Jeff Probst said in a statement. "I think the audience will quickly identify with one group or the other."

Also on the contestant list is Crystal Cox, 29, an Olympic gold medalist in the 2004 Games on a women's track relay team; Gillian Larson, a 61-year-old retired nurse from California, and Robert Crowley, a 58-year-old physics teacher from Portland, Maine.

On the CBS tape, Kaplan says her personality can be an issue. "It's not that I'm a bitch, but perhaps I don't take other people's feelings into account when I say something," she says.

Wednesday, she wasn't backing off.

"You can only put on the fake nice things for so long," she told the News.

Kaplan said she moved to Los Angeles just before "Survivor" producers found her MySpace page and asked her to audition. Being on a reality show wasn't a life goal, she added.

"Never," she said. "This has to be the worst road to getting famous ever. It's the hardest, most grueling way. It would be a lot easier to go on 'The Bachelor.'"
