The old versus young division is not the only twist this season. At the very opening, Probst will reveal to the contestants a brand new item: the Medallion of Power. The Medallion can be used by a tribe to give itself an advantage in an immunity challenge, but once used, it goes over to the other tribe to use when it sees fit. “The Medallion of Power is designed to give you power at challenges,” explains Probst. “And our job is to make sure that the advantage is enough to tempt you — not so much that it’s a landslide, but enough that you go, ‘I’m not sure we should take it. Maybe we should, maybe we shouldn’t.’”

....and a big thank you to.....
Also, expect fewer hidden immunity idols to be played on Survivor: Nicaragua, or at least expect them to be a bit harder to find. “This season we have made changes to the hidden immunity idol,” says Probst “The only way you’re gonna find it is to decipher these cryptic visual clues. So it’s a bit like a visual riddle, and the audience will get to play along. And the first set of four clues is very difficult. The next set will be a little easier, and then by the third set, you should find it.”

I am so excited to watch the new season of Survivor from Nicaragua. It was my privilege to be in Nicaragua in May 2010. I went with Samaritan's Purse/Operation Christmas Child Project. We delivered 1500 Gift Shoe Boxes to 8 different locations including two orphanages in the outskirts of Managua.
It will be good to see other parts of Nicaragua for sure.
Our last day was a time of rest and we visited The Masaya National Park to get a glimpse of an active volcano. It was not erupting just the sulpher fumes were coming out it.
This season of Survivor will be more meaningful to me !!!

I haven't been watching the forum over the Summer, while we were taking a break from Survivor.

I've found a bunch of posts with links to TV show related websites in them since I started checking again. Some are blatant and filled with nothing buy links. Others have been just normal posts with links in the signature.

The links got to sites that sell DVDs or downloads.

If you see ANY post that has a link in it to anything even close to smelling like it might be spam, please let me know.

There's a "Report Post" link in every post. Feel free to use that button liberally.

If in doubt, call them out.

If I keep up with deleting their posts, maybe they'll leave us alone.

Thanks for your help.

It's true that age and deception will overcome young and skill every time. ;)

Survivor Nicaragua - tribes are split by age, with one tribe of people under 30 and another over the age of 40. The entire 20-person cast has now been identified, too, although not yet officially.

“The Espada Tribe, made up of individuals over the age of 40, must prove they have the life experience and knowledge that will ultimately help them Outwit and Outlast their younger competitors. The La Flor Tribe, consisting of individuals 30 years of age and younger, will have to use their youth and vitality to Outplay and ultimately Outlast their elders. Who will prevail: youth or maturity?”

Besides already confirmed cast member Jimmy Johnson, the cast includes Brenda Lowe, a former Miami Dolphins cheerleader; Kelly Bruno, a triathlete who’s an amputee; Holly Hoffman, a rancher and pageant director; Na Onka Mixon, a long jumper; Alina Wilson, a swimsuit model; Yve Rojas; Wendy Jo Kohlhoff, a goat farmer and former Army nurse; Kelly Shinn, a college student; and “Jimmy T” Tarantino, who won the online Sears casting call contest.

There’s also Chase Rice, a country musician and former linebacker in the NCAA; Tyrone Davis, a fire captain and triathalete; Ben Henry, a club promoter; Shannon Elkins, identified as “a friend of Shaq” who’s from Lafayette like Russell Hantz; Jud Birza, a drummer, model, and actor; and Mary Piombo, an internet executive who used to be a VP at Yahoo.
