doesn't anyone see that these "kids" look kind of creepy beside those old rockers? INXS is a great band, but those young girls just seem totally out of line with the band - although they are very talented, and American Idol & Canadian Idol should take a look at the talent of these people. They are SO MUCH better than the singers on the "Idols"

I don't think anyone over 30 should be singing on the show tho, they just make the band look older, however with the picks we've got to choose from, JD is far and away the superior performer - however his arrogance won't work in a "team" job like a band - give me TY or Jordis!

I think the more important issue than what age the person is that joins INXS is who is actually the right person. A person who will not only enhance the band but someone who will be able to make a believeable "star" of themselves. As far as joining INXS...I personally think that a woman wouldn't do it justice. I don't think that has anything to do with the age of the person. Those girls with the exception of Jordis aren't really right for anything other than a lounge somewhere. Jordis will be her own star. It's really down to the three guys Mig, JD and Marty. The rest is just a way to extend the show. INXS although older now can still hang with the best of them.

If you read up on the singers of the show you would see they are not young..like Idol.

Dana is 30...first one elimentated
Daphne is 29
Heather is 27 (Butterfly Girl)
JD was 31 whne show started but just had a birthday now 32
Jessica is 25
Jordis is 22 she also had a birthday during the show
Marty is 31 will be 32 this month 9/26
Neal is 29
Suzie is 28
Tara is 31
Ty is 36
Will is 28

Drivemcrazy ... INXS members have GOT to be in their 40's ... or they have been rode hard and put up wet.

At 40+ (which I believe most of 'em are) they are old enough to be Jordis's father. That's old.

How old are you? By the why my name is also Debra, but I like to go by Deb too all.
40's isn't old...I'm 47 and I'm not old thank you, that is why they will more likely go with JD 32 or Marty 31 so to be 32 or MiG who is 36.

Deb, I should probably have clarified my post. NO ... I don't think 40 is old. I am older than that and I still feel like I'm in my 20's only smarter! I do however think mid to late 40's is getting a bit past the prime for a rock star... and paired with someone like Jordis ... it only accentuates that appearance.

Understand. I think it was the shows producers to choice a ray of different ages to try out but I feel they know what they are looking for and that will be who they choose. Just like Ty he was perfect age but just knew INXS didn't want him.

I agree ... they had a very clear vision before this started as to who/what they were looking for. The producers did indeed have a say in some of the contestants (just to keep it interesting).

Do you think INXS is still mulling over the choices, or do you think they've already selected their candidate? My guess is they've made a decision, but they are going to play it out to the very end. I'm also wondering how much longer they are going to use the viewer votes, because they haven't a clue who is voting and how many times.
