It was Deanna. She sang a pretty lame "elegantly wasted" that the editors cut the hell out of. Awful voting. I agree that she wasn't right for Our Band INXS (when did the change the name?) but she is much close than JD, who's totally on autopilot. And Jordis completely sucked this week and 2 weeks ago. Ever wonder why we aren't seeing vote totals? 'Cause they want the drama at the end. They want a good vrs evil fight. That's why JD isn't ever in the bottom AND they are settin him up to look like a complete ahole. At the end it will be JD vrs Mig. THey chose Mig before any of it began. THey're trying hard to get rid of Ty without looking like racists. They're failing. Last edited by svolich; 08-24-2005 at 11:34 PM.

I just posted my review. Sorry I was late. http://www.rockstar-inxs.com/ I think that the concept that Marty is harder and younger and wants to meet them halfway is really attractive to Our Band INXS. I think it'll come down to Jordi, Mig, and Marty, with Marty winning it all. Mig will be a close 2nd. Last edited by cwalton; 08-24-2005 at 11:48 PM.

I agree that it would be Jordis, Mig and Marty if it were being run honestly. But it's a reality show, and they never are. They take 100's of hours of footage and craft them into dramatic stories that people can get behind and care about in an hour. For that to happen they need to be very SIMPLE stories. The one they've been crafting here is that JD is evil and manipulating. If the voting were honest he'd have been in the bottom 3 a couple of times, but they're protecting him for the big showdown at the end. You'll also notice the comments from the band. Even when he gives a totally lackluster performance, like this week, they're full of praise for him. And after his train wreck with the Queen song, he wasn't in the bottom. We don't even know how many votes are being cast, unlike AI. If the bottom group isn't what they want for dramatic reasons, they can change it. Does anyone really think they don't know who the bottom three are before they choose the encore? Or that the are picking the songs on the spot? JD will be in the last 2. And he will loose. The question is who are they setting up to be the winner. I think it's Mig. He was in the middle of a run on London's west end as the lead in "We Will Rock You." He wouldn't leave that to be one of 15 people shooting to lead the comeback of a has-been 80's band that hasn't been on stage in nearly 10 years. I think they had to have promised it to him. And, as I pointed out in another post - he's stable, he's married, he'd a damned good musician, and he's Australian. That's the reason they keep trying to get rid of Ty. He's black, and there hasn't been a black front man on the rock and roll charts since Hendrix. That's why they created the R&B and now the Rap charts - to make sure the rock world stays segregated. That said, he's the one that could seriously give Mig a run for his money. Marty looks too much like he might take out the front row with a pen knife. Even when he's doing a ballad he's like Bobcat Goldthate. Ty has it under control. So they give him a crappy song and then tell him (ta DA) you had a crappy song! When he rocks the house, just drop him in the bottom 3. I'll bet real money he'll be in the bottom every week from now on. Ty should stop smiling. Do the noble, angry black guy thing he did for the first show. So he doesn't get to do the Old Folks Tour, start building his fan base for his solo career. That wont work with the 1 million volt steppin fetchit smile, it won't work with him begging to be in the band. "I LOVES Inxs, Massa!" He's better than that and he knows it. The danger is that at the end Mig will give a crappy performance and someone will blow him away. Expect to see a rule change when they're down to 4, singing twice per week, then three times. They'll get it down to Mig and JD, and then it doesn't matter how the audience votes.

Svolich .... Marty is full of talent, and I'm sure never once thought of taking someone out with a pen knife. (that's just *silly* !!) Ty is talented, but not right for INXS .... not because he's black, but because he's of a differnt genre. Besides, what could he be thinking with that Mohawk 'do??? If he wants to blend with INXlS, he should have lost the Mohawk before trying out.
