What happens with the final 3??

My question is, once they have their final 3 what happens? Do they let us vote, then the lowest voted person in the final 3 leaves? Then do they take the final 2 and pick the winner themselves? I'm curious as to how they will do this.

My understanding (and I could be wrong here) is that the season finale is on September 20th. So that gives them two more Tuesdays to eliminate one rocker each week, getting us down to the final three on the 20th. Then, I think the band will choose the winner from these three. I haven't heard whether we the voting audience have any say in it.

I haven't heard anything either. I just hope the top three are Marty, MiG, and JD. But I still wonder if the band hasn't already picked their man. maybe I'm wrong but having JD open the song US..their new song makes me wonder.

After watching the band's take on everyone tonight, I can only wonder how much of it was sincere, or just aimed at keeping us all guessing. Could be my bias, but I truly do not think they will choose JD. I think they've already made their decision, but for show ratings, they want to keep us guessing. Based on the songs they chose for the contestants, I think they want Marty to shine ("Creep" is perfect for him) and they are keeping JD in to keep his fan base happy. They seemed concerned about the nice guy that Mig is ... but "Paint it Black" could propel Mig. I think he'll do well with that song. Can't remember the songs they chose for Suzie, but I'm back to my original theory that they never wanted a female to begin with and they'll use Suzie's "nerves" and how she'd handle the media as an excuse for sending her home. Things could always change, but it's looking (to me) like their top 3 considerations are Mig, Marty and JD. But then, they manipulate to keep you guessing, so I could be sooooo wrrrrrrooonnngggg!
