| Reality News Online - Survivor Russell S. Interview This week, we saw Russell S. hit the ground in a challenge and end up getting carried out of the game. How did things happen from Russell’s perspective? What was the diagnosis? How is he doing now and how has “the incident” changed his life? Plus, what was going on with him and the social game? Russell discusses all of this and much more! Russell was a great guy to interview – he spoke at a reasonable speed and was understandable, not to mention he had a lot to say and I could really feel the depth of his emotions as he talked. Unfortunately, I would have needed triple the time I’m allotted to get through all the questions I had for him! But we hit the most important points and you will get to find out all about what happened as he saw it at the time and as he sees it now, plus his feelings on the game overall. RealityNewsOnline: Hello, Russell, and thanks for taking the time to talk to us here at RealityNewsOnline! Russell S.: After last night, it’s all gravy, baby. Thank for you taking the time to talk to me. RNO: First and foremost, how are you doing now? Russell S.: I’m doing fantastic. I’m in perfect health. I’m going to, probably sometime in the near future, get my 42,000-mile checkup anyway. But I’m doing good, feeling fine, no ramifications from “the incident,” as I am coining it To Read More

| Survivor: Samoa Exclusive Interview with Russell Swan Last night, on Survivor: Samoa, Galu tribe leader Russell collapsed during a reward challenge. Jeff Probst had to stop the challenge, as the medical staff rushed in to treat him. Russell’s heart rate was dropping to a terrifyingly low number and later, Jeff said that he has never been more scared than in that moment. Russell was pulled from the game and today, he spoke to RealityWanted in an exclusive interview about his experiences on the show and how he’s doing now. Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How did you become a part of this season of Survivor? A. Russell: This was application number eight. I started applying in the second season. I applied 3 seasons after that, took a break when my daughter was born, then started up again. I applied, did a video, went to L.A., and here I am. Q. Gina, RealityWanted: You were elected tribe leader on day one. How did you feel about being given that power and responsibility? A. Russell: I thought it sucked! It was not good. I’ve watched the show and I knew that leadership is a very, very fickle thing. TO be elected as the chief, I knew I was in trouble on day one. I think that was one of the reasons, in addition to dehydration, that I ended up on my back. I agonized over everything. Trying to sleep, even on the days before the rain… it just was not happening. | 'Survivor: Samoa': Interview with contestant Russell Swan- Zap2it Russell Swan was removed from "Survivor: Samoa" for severe dehydration. It turns out his memory of the situation is very different from what we saw on TV and only highlights the seriousness of the collapse. What were you doing before 'Survivor'? I was and still am an attorney with the Environmental Protection Agency, I do environmental law. I'm with one of the regional offices here in Philadelphia. This season, Jeff had the tribes elect leaders right off the bat. Did you like being elected the leader? It sucked. I absolutely hated it. I am a student and a fan of the show. This was the eighth time that I had applied to be on the show so I knew that the whole leadership thing is rather dubious and to actually proactively be elected leader... I knew I was in trouble. Especially when we lost that first challenge. John Mr. Underwear Model decides he's not going to take his pants off for the swim so he got smoked by Jaison and instead of Jeff saying it was stupid to keep your pants on, he's like, "Wow wasn't it really poor decision-making by Russell to pick John for the swim." So it sucked being picked as the chief. To Read More

| Exclusive: Russell Swan talks about 'Survivor: Samoa' evacuation - Reality TV World Russell Swan claims he didn't no how bad the situation was until he watched last night's Survivor episode. ADVERTISEMENT That's when the 42-year-old attorney from Glenside, PA realized that medics had no choice but to medically evacuate him -- making him the seventh castaway eliminated from Survivor: Samoa during last night's broadcast of the CBS reality series. On Friday, Russell talked to Reality TV World about why he was initially "pissed" about the decision to take him out of the competition; why he regrets being so "belligerent" with host Jeff Probst and the show's medical team; how being elected Galu's tribal leader on Day 1 threw off his entire strategy; and why he was so out of the loop that it hindered the social aspect of his game play. Reality TV World: Last night's episode showed you being pretty adamant about not wanting to being pulled from the competition. How did what was shown on last night's broadcast match up with your own memory and awareness of what was happening -- were you fully aware of how serious the situation seemed to be? To Read More
