Is Kenny An Edited Dan Ghessling?

It seems to me that the season of Big Brother 10 and Survivor 17 seem to be following the same path.

1] Both are CBS shows

2] Both have underdog small males who rise from the depths to be masterminds.

Big Brother had its best ratings ever. Ratings for Survivor are always a concern. Are the "manufactoring" a "Dan"?

We know Dan was smart, nice and running the show because of the live feeds, but Kenny seems edited to me, it just doesn't "flow" for me.

Anyone else get this vibe? Just a coincidence or CBS editing?

Haven't seen anything about the other guy so I'm just going off of Kenny here and until recently...I thought he was getting a early-to-mid elimination edit (so happy I was wrong about that considering he's one of three likable people left in the game).

If they are trying to spin that kind of an edit, I think they started with it a bit too late and maybe that's what's causing that awkwardness you're sensing.

I don't really get what you mean. I've met Ken before, we played the same game for tournaments. You feel the show is awkward when he's in the scene? Or that they're just editing him? What you see is what you got, he's a college student he's a professional gamer for super smash brothers melee.. Kind of a shy guy.

2] Under dog vs other groups

3] Target to go home right away

4] Survives

5] Takes control

6] Wins


This doesn't seem "just" a little familiar this season on survivor?

Big Brother had its highest ratings, media couldn't get enough of Dan.

Maybe survivor decided they were going to have a "Dan" this season even if the had to manufactor one?

Well, Ken has a lot of fans who I'm sure improved their rating, like myself. But they don't stage survivor.. It's all up to the people on the show who gets kicked off, not Jeff Probst.

i dont think hes saying its staged...im a firm believer thats it not. But in past seasons, lots of things have come to light that showed that the show has edited scenes a lot more than originally thought.

Many past contestants have complained about other players getting very favorable edits, portraying castaways quite differently than they actually acted on the show.

Hes just saying that if its possible that this could be one of those seasons where someone gets an extremely generous edit in hopes that it will boost ratings (in this case, trying to copy Big Brothers Dan Ghessling)

i personally think that it is VERY possible. Big Brother seems extremely popular. I found myself talking to non reality comp show watchers who were actually watching big brother...thanks in large to dan and team renegade lol

Just like Matty proposing to his girl. How did he know she was going to be at camp to make the ring that he made to propose to her?
America loves to see the underdog win. Just like America loved Rupert who was the WORST strategist the game ever saw. It even earned him a million dollars though.
I wouldn't compare Dan to Kenny though. I think Kenny is starting to turn into a little JFP. Its gonna bite him in the end. He's starting to outplay himself and its starting to go to his head. Sugar has flipped on everyone this season and I don't think that Kenny will be an exception to that rule since he thinks that she is dumb and not playing the game. ( which she is ). I think Sugar, Matty and Bob are gonna be our final three.

How can you think Sugar is playing the game?
She got lucky and found the idol.
If she didn't find it, she would be as worthless as Crystal and Susie are. Hell, probably more worthless than Susie, because Susie does camp work. Anyone who thinks Sugar is playing Survivor well is ridiculous, thats like saying Crystal is amazing at the challenges. All she's done is found the idol, not contributed anywhere else. She would be gone weeks ago if she didnt have it.

lol no offense supah, but isnt this your first season watching survivor. im just not sure how you would consider what constitutes playing a good game involves...

ill give ya a little push...

Brian (amazon) yul (cook islands) Hatch (Borneo) all played UNARGUABLE great strategic games...

Tom (Palau) Terry (Exile) Ozzy (Cook Islands) all played amazing physical games getting them to the finals (or in terrys case, final 3 only)
