Default Any room left for regular people!

Iam really not to happy with the choice of people they have casted. They have really taken really good looking people, or actors, or others? Isnt survivor supposed to be about "regular americans" put into survior mode? I mean i miss the days of rupert, and even chris winning vanuwatu! Normal people. These people are like so fit and everything...I want to see regular joes, that are not that fit., pretty, etc trying to win a million dollars becuase they really need it,and its funner to watc, because you dont really know who will win and you feel more of a connection with the person! Not like eddie georges wife!!! WTF!!
kinda makes me feel like why apply, becuase ill never make it, iam just a normal person!
IF i get on i am going to represent the normal, crazy person of the USA!

Default preaching to the choir

Yeah , I agree with you on that. I miss the old days of the game as well. I don't think its as hard as it used to be either. I miss the car challenge/ Final 2/ TREE MAIL(every episode)/ starving/ hair falling out/ Less blind sides!/ and a plethora of other things. But, its the sign of the times. They've gotten more ratings in the last few years and America is ALL about money and commercialism. Unfortunately, these type of people "sell" survivor to the ignorant masses of America! Guess well just have to accept it. What else is there to watch?

I've been hearing nothing but good things about the new "Watch Paint Dry" network.

Seriously though, they should really go back to the old days of having regular folks on board. I've had enough of the wanna-be actors or semi-famous spouses, etc. Ya gotta believe they get tons of applicants from everyday people. I say use em.

Lightbulb I agree

Unfortunately, they use casting companies more than anything else.

I too, miss the old pure game. I'd like to see them emaciated and fighting to survive while dealing with the added stress of playing this game.

However, I will continue to watch this show no matter what. I still love the whole premise for the game. I've sent CBS many letters about this game and my feelings of the NEW game that they play. As you can see, its done no good. Well see. Maybe now that they have gotten their Fan base higher, they can experiment with going back to the old style?

I also feel that they should only pick from people that SEND in tapes or go to the open casting calls. I'd think that it would draw a crowd of players that will give them a better game than a bunch of people looking to further their careers. They tried to prove the opposite by doing Fan's vs. Fav's. I wouldn't call half of those "fans"; fans. A few of them, in exit interviews, proved otherwise.

In the end, there aren't that many people that are die hard fans that hear these interviews as compared to the ignorant masses of American's that watch it purely for entertainment. That is what CBS sells, Entertainment. We'd have to change American society to turn that one around. BUt who knows? Expect the unexpected??

I am hoping for the unexpected!! Bring back rupe!!. I dont know the whole show seems so scripted now, and like they are cutting things out that i rember watching all along. I think vanawatu was a great example of how a regualr joe or in this case chris, can come out of know where and play this game and win. It just made it so much more interesting. I still say there are more survivor fans saying this then there is this new audience they are portraying to!

Default I agree

I agree with everyone here. Most of these folks seem coached "pardon the pun". I loved Rupert and it just seems like we used to see several different personalities or life styles portrayed on some of the eariler seasons. Now it just seems like noone is really that different. There needs to be more variety in personalities. It always makes for great fireworks when you have people who are totally different all mixed in and trying to live together. The people are a little boring, but I still love the show.

Yall have to make up your minds ........ YOU WANT DRAMA ! !BUT YOU DONT LIKE DRAMA, YOU WANT REAL PEOPLE, BUT DONT LIKE IT WHEN PEOPLE GET REAL

In the game of survivor its the nail that sticks out, that gets hammered down

lets review shall we .......

1. Coach= is loud, opinionated and bossy NO BODY LIKES HIM and we all agree his attitude is gonna get him voted off

2. Taj= She threw a hissy fit and almost got herself voted out ( by the way I thought was really stupid of her )

The rule of thumb is to be quiet and work your magic with whispers

Default Huh??

Its not about the drama, its more about the personality types that are playing this season. They are all "nice" people.
I don't like coach; yet, he does make a good villain. Its more about A-type personalities for me. I like to see more people "playing" the game not following those that are.
There are only a handful that are trying to control the game. The rest seem to just be along for the ride. Its probably all in the editing and we'll start seeing more of their personalities as the game progresses However, I just don't have anyone that I'm really "rooting" for this season. I like Brenden and Taj a lot, but I don't want to see them win because they are both Millionaires. This leaves me rooting for two people that I don't want to see win because I don't really like any of the rest of them.

Angry Real people, I agree...

I'm not watching survivor anymore. In the past, I had hope, even though I realized I would never be chosen. Now, rich people playing? And then when they had the chance to vote Taj off, they kept her! Is the heat getting to the players?
I've had it, no more survivor for me.
