SO, I'm getting ready to make the call for the interview with Sydney today. It's 8 minute til and I want to get in early to make sure my recorder is working and all that.

I pick up the phone and there's no dial tone. I had some work done recently, but the phone has worked since then.

I think back to make sure that I paid my bill, but it's on auto-pay and there's nothing on the line, not that "we're sorry but give us your money if you ever want to hear this phone again" message. Nothing.

I check the phone in the bedroom, same thing. Kitchen phone, nothing.

I go outside and look down the block to see the phone company truck next to the guy in the hard hat, looking into the open green utility box. AAARRRRggghhhhhH!

We have no phone service. I can't record my cell phone calls (if anyone knows of a way to do that, please tell me! It's an iPhone.)

I go about my business for the rest of the day and check later. My phone works great. For the single hour, once a week, (and for the first time in 3 weeks!) that I needed the land line, it's broken.

She wasn't that big of a character anyways. I felt her game was poor and she was being used at best. No biggie this week!
