Smile Coach is an incredible person

Hi,

I'm new to the boards. Not sure why you guys/gals have to slam on my boy.

This guy is talented. He is going to be in movies and is well on his way to making millions. So if that's why you guys hate him. Fine. Player haters go away.

For sure this dude is the best soccer coach on the PLANET. He inspires me everyday to want to be a better person and a better soccer player. If I had a make a wish right now (if I were in my death bed) my final wish would be to come back to this world after I died to be just like COACH!

The dude is inspiring. With his back hurting he still finished at the top. It takes real nuts to go out there and accomplish what he did.

Say what you will, but he is my role model. I'm married and I'm getting ready to have kids. I want each of my kids to be just like him. Hardcore, balls out, tough, crazy cool, and true pros.

Coach wasn't a Man's Man. He was just an egotistical ass. I worked the stel Mills for 30 years and working with pain was not just a given it was expected. Wash off the blood, tape up that cut and get back on the line. We didn't bother learning your name until you returned from your first trip to the ER. We didn't strut or posture. Thats just life in the mill. Real men don't prance or gloat. They do the job and shut up. I have seen two deaths and at least 10 who lost a body part or two. Hell I cracked three ribs and finished a 12 hour shift! Coach and his backache just made me laugh

Found this bit I don't remember this happening at the reunion show.Jeff asked Coach about the crazy story he told about being caught by the native Amazonian indians. Coach still claims that the story is true. Coach declined to take the lie detector test. However, Coach said he's going to blindside Jeff. He took a lie detector test without anyone else knowing, and he brought the sealed results!

Probst opened the sealed results, and reads question number 2: Did you get captured by natives on the Amazon? The test says that Coach did tell the truth.

Not that I'm saying Coach can't tell the truth, but there are a number of flaws with lie detector tests, especially ones carried out by the one taking them, rather than a neutral party like Jeff Probst. For one, the bare truth that he was captured by natives may have been true, but most likely the extravagant story he told while on the show was nothing more than a gross exaggeration. Second, like I said way back when the reunion aired, he may be so caught up in his own stories that, whether they are true or not, he believes they are, so they appear true on the polygraph.

You gotta love Coach, but at the same time, there's no way you can't be skeptical about him and his far-out tales either.

i dont care whether coach told truths or not. he wasnt a strong player, and, if the woman, once again, new any better, they should have tossed him. it kills me to be a fan from S1 and see these people make the same mistakes. DONT THEY WATCH THE SHOW? lol
