I just watched the first episode and found Russel to be degrating to women. I have always been a fan of the show and am sorry that I will not be able to watch it this year but I, as a woman, am unable to get past the sexist and degrading remarks made by Russel.

Russell is a powder keg, an obvious women hater.. There have always been guys on Survivor that showed real disdain for women in general, but this one, he's on another level completely..

I have watched Survivor from the beginning, never missed a show and Russell is one of the most sexist men I have ever seen on the show and he needs to get kicked out as soon as possible.

I am a real reality fan, watch Big Brother when most of my friends think it is the cheesiest show ever made. The reason I bring it up is that when 'Evil Dick' was allowed to be degrading towards women, and win the show, he changed the game and took it to a new low. Now being the evil person seems to be an easy role for some men and they are considered 'entertaining' when they degrade women on tv. I will watch the show in hopes that either the female marine or police officer will kick him off the show, sooner rather than later.

Please Survivor, it's time to step in on one of those one-on-one interviews and set this sexist straight or you may end up with less female viewers.

Good to see many intelligent people are in this show, makes it more interesting.

I am not offended by Russell as a woman, but as a human being. Moreso, I am offended by producers and casting directors of a show who cast a psycho as entertainment. Yes, I can and will change the channels, but not before I voice my outrage that these people think this is what we want.

Russell has no redeeming qualities and is downright sinister. I can watch horror movies if I want to see that. I watch survivor for cunning game play and characters who make me laugh or cry, not ones that make me cringe and scream. The other thing is that anyone could go on Survivor and do what he is doing. It does not take a smart or creative person to think of ways to torture people and be a maniac. I am not impressed. Russell is doing this because he is not smart enough to win any other way. But I dare say he will not win this way. He will be forced to crawl back into the gutter he came out of. Until then, I will not be watching.:eek

Marisa said Russel burned her socks too.

Voting Confessionals show that is was more Ben than Russel that got Marisa out.

Erik found a huge Papaya tree and carried it to his camp and planted it.

Brett tried to make fire with his glasses but failed ( no Yau Man )

1/2 Foa Foa was wet at the beginning because one of their boats flipped on the way in.

i thought it was a decent first show... as for russel... he's this survivor's "love to hate" loser!!! replacing coach ben wade's position isn't easy!

if you let the new douche bags comments bother you... then you are the idiot... they put tossers like russel on just to get you to tune in next week...and you will!
