And maybe I did go too far in making such comparisons, but lord, he really does remind me of Charlie and Charlie always reminded me of a 'would-be' Hitler.. I just hope the girls on the show wise up real quick to this creep and vote him off pronto..

I would really like to think Russell isn't this way when outside the game but I believe he really is and, perhaps, even worse.. He claims to be a millionaire, I don't know.. But, if I were a 'gold-digger', looking for a husband, I'd hope I'd have to good sense God gave a tree and avoid this dude like the plague.. Personally, I'd rather eat mud and wear a burlap bag then be tied to this woman hater..

Thankfully, I'm an old lady, happily retired and with a great boyfriend..

I still believe that the Survivor big wigs crossed the line. Survivor is very exciting, people. They are starving and roughing it and doing all kinds of amazing things. I don't mind the conniving and game playing and back stabbing. But pure evil that really isn't even good strategy? He is trying to be a dictator like Hitler, I agree. It obviously cannot be compared to Hitler in scope, but I don't have to watch a Hitler wanna be and am insulted that CBS thinks this is what I want to see. It saddens me that there are as many people as there seem to be that want to see Russel burn people's socks and pore out their water and think the show is the better for it. However, I hate censorship so will fight for your right to watch it since CBS put it out there. I just think the show would have been better without it and don't think Russell deserves to even be there. He's disgusting. Of course, I won't be watching til Russell is gone and hope that that occurs sooner rather than later.

There is not much CBS or Survivor could do. I doubt that in his interview videos he said " I'm going to be the meanest most hated player ever, ect...." Once on the show and in Samoa, what are they going to do?

Are you kidding me? They didn't have to gear the entire show around him and promote the show based on him. I don't know for sure that they recruited the guy like some people are saying or believe that he is a "plant" but they are telling me by the way they edited the show and advertised it that this guy is the best, most exciting thing to hit Survivor in years. Everybody says they have used editing to sensationalize this guy, so obviously they think that is what I want to see. I don't. I wanted to see a good game of survivor and I can't even watch anyone else but Russell the pig because that's practically all they show.

Problem is--if the turmoil in FoaFoa last up to the merge and its all him vs his team, it's impossable NOT to show him we would have no idea why things were the way they were. You can't have a tribe a total disaster and not show the why. It may suck but they got little choice if he is the reasons for things beeing that way.

Then they should have a better system of background checks. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck........ Russell cannot hide who he is and I bet he didn't try. CBS wanted a guy like him. They do not care how far they have to go to get ratings. Oh yeah, I guess they don't want anyone to really get hurt, and I know they have to make it difficult for someone to win a million dollars, but come on. So you think they thought Russell was a little angel and were totally shocked when he did the things he did. Sorry, but that's a little naive. But, have fun watching him. It's your choice and I have spent too much time on the little gargoyle already. I will always love Survivor and hope it continues for many years. Just give us some credit, CBS. You are not like the other reality shows and do not need to resort to cheap tricks to be interesting. We will watch.

blah...you are all over reacting... the show needs a douche bag...or it gets boring... if all the players were nice, honest, smart, sweet, etc etc etc... the show would suck... russel was purposely selected to get folks hating... ppl just love to hate! maybe one of the blondes will kick old russel square in the nuts! it makes for great TV! to us its a show... to survivor its ratings/ business/ money...

I believe what Diane is trying to tell you and what I have said all along is very simple.. Russell is a REAL woman HATER, not just someone who doesn't respect women or thinks women are stupid or beneath contempt..

There have been plenty of jerks like those on the show over the years and, thankfully, they never seem to win..

Russell is totally different.. I think he wouldn't hesitate to harm any of the girls on the show if they got in his way or crossed him and he could get away with it.. This creep really hates ALL women and it shows..

There is little doubt in my mind he has probably abused women in the past and, perhaps, even now.. I'm just damn glad he's not a member of MY family, that's for sure..

When he burned his tribe mate's socks, what do you think he was thinking.. 'Oh, this will certainly make him uncomfortable'?
Like hell, he's hoping the guy develops bad blisters that will get infected and will get him booted off the show!
I can not recall ANY other player on the show that has ever deliberately set about to injure another player on purpose, have you?

The producers have crossed the line with this guy, mark my words, if he's not voted off soon, he's going to do his best to hurt someone bad..

No...I think Russell is more of a STUPID woman hater and you know what...I'm right there with him on that one. You all complain about how he's degrading to women but I have yet to see a thread about all those girls being presented as bikini bimbos being degrading to women. They'll toss in one or two decent women every season and the rest are either a. catty b. lazy c. expecting to win a million for being hot and flirty. How is that not degrading?

Give me a break. If you're going to go the feminist route, at least go for the angle that supports strong women who can think for themselves. Compared to the threads on here, I'm starting to think Russell is a better feminist than most posters.

I agree with you, there have been many nasty, mean women on the show that have used every dirty trick in the 'feminine wiles' book to get their way.. Of coarse Jeri immediately comes to mine on that score, but I don't recall any of them every setting out to hurt another player in deliberate hopes they would have to be taken off the show, do you??

There have also been some, as you call them, bikini bimbos, who used every ounce of sex appeal to win favor and there have also been some guys that went to exactly the same lengths to curry favor with the gals, so lets be clear on that score, women aren't the only ones who use sex to get their way, ok?

But the facts remain pretty clear to me, Russell is a horse of a different color.. I believe he is a sadist (anyone who thinks he burned those socks to do other then hurt a fellow player is living in 'la-la land') and a true women hater.. Sorry, I never saw an iota of respect showing for ANY women on his tribe.. You should go to the Survivor website and read some of the mail about him there, I'm definitely not alone in my opinion of him..

He makes me and many others cringe with disgust and, yes, even worry..
God help anyone who crosses that creep..
