 Russell has ruined the show  i'm probably not giving the show a chance, but after watching the first episode I am ready to quit watching Survivor. Oh Lord, I live in Texas......figures that's where he's from. He is beyond evil and I don't know how to get past him being a part of the show. I can always fast forward which is what I did with the first show. The comments he made about those little blonde gals surpassed repugnant. I am so disappointed and it's only the first episode. After reading some posts, I am glad I am not alone.     |

I think most of the people on here are taking this way too seriously, just like last season with Coach. 1. It's a television show 2. It's 'REALITY' television 3. They edit everyone to fit them into little neat boxes that are easier for the average television viewer to relate to one way or another. In actual reality, people are far too complex to get to know that well by only watching them for an hour every week. By fitting them into boxes, people can immediately tell who they want to win and keeps them coming back to watch their favorites that they've really only seen about five minutes worth of footage of. |

| Twilight I hope I am wrong and perhaps my age is showing, so will give it another chance. I think Richard Hatch pales in comparison to this guy. Maybe it should be Reality/Exploitative TV. Let's see how this all plays out. I didn't find that what he was doing and saying was brilliant posturing but rather underhanded and unkind. Then again I'm too old and too soft to ever "play" this game. Just hope he gets booted off real soon. |

| Chill out Folks Yes Russel is a snake in the grass,but episode 1 was very entertaining and with all tyrants , Russel will get his payback. So be patient and enjoy because he will not win this one . The rest of crew will work him out sooner or later and blindside him for sure. I have not seen so many posts in episode one for any series that i can remember? PS The Police Officer has worked him out already? |

| It is one thing to backdoor someone to get further in the game but dumping the water and burning a tribe member sock goes beyond gamesmanship. There is no strategy in that. Tribe gets dehydrated and looses challenges. Guy runs around without socks, gets a blister and becomes infected and another challenge is lost. Intentionally messing with health of contestants should be a violation and get russell thrown out. I guess when someone wins one of those hidden immunity idols it will be ok for him to steal it and use it on himself |

| geeesh...russel bringing a little drama into the game isn't going to dehydrate or put blisters on anyone... he's doing stuff to mess with folks... and he is getting folks like you all worked up... the show it self is feeding you the bait and you are all jumping for it!
