Ben did the finger shoot when voting off Marisa too-so it wasn't anything personal against Betsy cause she was a police officer.

Does that make it ok? If so then all bad behaviour is excusable because it's past practice and not personal. Let's just overlook the fact that Ben is an egotistical bigot with some serious personality issues because he is like that to everyone! It's not just one act but a growing list of actions and words that says this guy has issues. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like a duck then you can bet the house that it's probably a duck.

The question was was he mocking Betsy the police officer, not his overall behaviour.

Come on people. These new civilizations that Survivor builds up and tears down is designed to get peoples tempers high. They are starving, distrusting, defending, attacking, plotting, thirsting etc...etc...etc...

Don't take these people that seriously. He's not the first one to do that to a cop. A few seasons ago one player drew a picture of a gun being fired on their voting chit. The person they were voting out was a cop that had actually been shot.

Emotions run high out there. This is not an excuse, but an explanation to why people get all hot headed out there. But if they didn't get hot headed; there wouldn't be any good TV clips to show. Its only a game for a million buck. You'd be surprised at how you might act if put into these situations.

Don't worry!!! Ben will get voted out! I promise!

I think Ben is a low class white trash. He is the one that ate the catsup sandwiches for lunch at school and drank kool-aid when he got home.
I think he was born poor and he hung out with other low class people like himself. That guy is evil and has evil eyes.

He has no consideration for others. He didn't care that he was waking up his tribe members while he chopped wood in the middle of the night.
I don't think anybody will create an alliance with him. They are just keeping him for his strength.

When he becomes useless to his tribe he will be kicked out.

Yes, Survivor needs evil people to keep us interested in watching the show.
If everybody was nice it would be a boring show to watch for some people.

I remember reading that when the concept of Survivor was created they wanted a person who had broken the law, and put a mixture of different backgrounds to see how it would work out. It worked out beautifully on their first season. Since then they still have included people who know how to back stab, tell big lies, steal, and not keep their word to the others.
It works!! We watch!! We dislike some of the players!! We also like some of the players!!

Ben made some ugly comments, and playing dirty in the challenge shows what kinda person he is(ignorant) Yes Yasmine is annoying and was belittling. She herself said she prefers the hood not the wood, what was she thinking to compete in the wood !!

Ben needs to GO!!

i'm a wife of a retired cop. he watched the show with me, because i made him, but, he laughed at the actions and comments. even joked that ben would have to shoot 50x before hitting her. lighten up is all im saying

I understood the question. But thanks for caring enough to explain it to me. I obviously was to criptic in my reply to you so I'll try a different route. Just because it's done or said to all doesn't change the fact that it carries different weight depending on who it is and when it is done or said.

Dave and Bob are playing golf. Bob puts in the putt that beats Dave. He turns to Dave, smiles and does the knife across the throut move to imply that Dave is dead. Both laugh and head to the bar. Later that night Bob is alone in a parking garage with a woman he doesn't know. He rushes to take the last parking spot. She pulls up and starts to express her opinion when he turns to look at her and smiles while giving the knife to throut move. Is this different then when he did it to Dave? If so then why? It's the same person doing the same action with the same intent. That's just what Bob does.....

The real question here is not whether Ben was right to make the smoking gun action to a cop. It wasn't for obvious reasons. The question is if Ben even knew she was a cop. If he didn't then he can't be held to accuont for crossing a line he didn't know existed. I can't recall that she made it known to all that she was. The answer to that question will decide whether Ben is being tried unfairly or is just a troll.

BEN IS A TROLL and he is back home with his trashy cheap friends laughing at us viewers. He most likely is enjoying all the bad things we have said about him and I am sure him and his friends totally agree that he was bad on the survivor show and making fun of him. He most likely has a gun hidden behind the Bar counter to defend himself against the people who don't like him. He lives in a world of darkness where all trolls live. Lucy
