Rules to the Hidden Immunity Idol I'm actually not talking about Russell finding the hidden immunity idol at his camp (though I kind of think that's awesome, despite him being such a jerk). What I heard, though I don't know if it's true or not, is that although the idol was for the other tribe to pick up with clues, the idol belongs to Russell unless he decides to give it to someone else. Feel free to comment or give more information on that if you have any.
What I am curious about, is what the general consensus is for the appropriate rules of the hidden immunity idol. Originally it was to be used after the votes were counted, but now in the more recent seasons, it must be used after voting, but before the votes are counted. I also remember in Guatemala that there was a HII late in the game that had to be used before anyone voted. What do you think?
I personally think that the idol should be used after voting and vote counting, merely because now the idol serves no other purpose than a weak intimidation tool. No one has ever used the idol at the right time to actually make a difference in the outcome, with only one exception, if I'm correct. Last season the idols did nothing; they weren't even mentioned after Brendan was voted out. At least with the old rules it made tribes really think about who to send to Exile, because then if someone found it, odds are that person would make it very far into the game, or at the very least have temporary control over who would be voted out.
Anyway, I'm just curious about what everyone else thinks about that. |
