| The interview is up now. I got as many of the questions as I could. I messed up the recording, once again. I need to look into another method for that. A couple interesting things came out of it. The challenge was supposed to be best 2 out of 3, but it took them 40 minutes and the producers decided that one was good enough. Then it was another 5 minutes and it was over. He and JFP are friends. Cirie played hard and surprised him. Ami is interesting. Yau is not a people person.

| Hey Mr. Walton Why did Yao say that Amy is interesting? Because I find Amy very interesting myself, She seems to be trying to fly under the radar this time, she's allowing Jonathan to take the lead and the heat ( smarter ) but it must be killing her to be so passive. especially with Cirie calling the shots, and pushing out Yao Why do you feel like Yao is not a people person? and Lastly, ( open to all forum friends )Which player in any season of survivor resembles your personality and your style of game? ![]() |

| He said that she was well traveled. She was not a, I forget exactly what he said, but like she's wasn't a bimbo. She was actually intelligent. She was thoughtful, quiet. I got the impression that he expected her to be a stupid blond bimbo like Parvati and Amanda, or a power hungry bitch, but she was older and wiser, maybe he said gentle, also. I think the mentioned that he had nice talks with her at Loser Lodge, but I might be mistaken. That might have been JFP. I think it might be more an issue of his expectations being different than her actually being more interesting than anyone else. HE said that, not me. The first question he got was "What did you learn about yourself during the show". Answer: "That I'm not a people person". He said a few times that he didn't read people as well as he thought he could. He said he should have spent more time talking to Cirie. He should have been aware of the group dynamics. I think Cirie's flip really surprised him. I think this reference is more a matter of his perception of other people than his ability to get along with or persuade, although, he wasn't able to persuade her either. If I hadn't messed up the recording, you could hear for yourself. ![]() And, he's as nice on the phone as he is on TV. I'd hang out with him any time. He's a great guy. Not a manipulator or a lier or cynical, so he didn't do well at Survivor. ![]()

| From Survivor: Micronesia - Interview With Yau-Man Chan Q: Have you learned anything about yourself as a result of your Survivor experiences? Yau-Man: Yes. I learned that I am not a people person. I just don’t read people very well. Like with Cirie. I should have gotten to know her better and faster. I didn’t realize what a strong personality she has. She went from being in a defensive position to a completely offensive position in getting everybody to go along with her to vote me out. Q: But you did so well in Fiji, I can’t believe that you say you don’t read people well. Yau-Man: Well, not as well as I should. In Fiji, I was able to play the under-the-radar, weak old man type of game but this time I was a big target coming into the season. Everybody remembered how well I did in Fiji, so I had a target on my back right away.
