It seems and I heard this on SL also, that the idol had to be in your possession coming into TC altho I don't recall them actually saying that rule in any of the episodes.

Also, I believe it was Sally that said they were never told they couldn't steal it so I'm surprised no one just took it when they knew it was in Terry's pack that time in the shelter.

Terry didn't hand it to his team mates/friends of LaMina - why would he betray them now by handing it to Danielle (who has lied and cheated him numerous times)?

If he had, it would have been the lamest move in Survivor history.

Diva - I would have LOVED to see somebody steal the idol and use it in Tribal Council! You're right, they never actually said that couldn't be done. The look on Terry's face would have been priceless.
